Well, as the title suggest, good news and bad news time.
First up, the good news. I finally got the money to have a central splitter installed, and had said central splitter installed. Secondly, well, the phones are nice and clear now.
Yup, that was the good news.
Bad news time. Firstly, The disconnects still occur. This is even with ALL of the wiring from the network boundary point replaced, and the central splitter installed. This means it is an external fault. Y'know, the thing I'd said it was from the very beginning of this saga.
This means that I have to deal with the waiting lines to actually talk to a technician. THEN I have to wait for Internode to get Telstra off their arse and fix the problem which SHOULDN'T HAVE EVER BEEN THERE IN THE FIRST PLACE!!!
In short, I'm now out of pocket a lot of money that I didn't need to be.
This makes me just a tad pissed off, and resigned in the knowledge that the telecommunications network infrastructure is really up shit creek.
Ah, I thought I had more to say, but if I did, I've forgotten it now. And I'm none too happy, and I need to get ready for work.
Ah, fuck this, I've been on hold now, without having spoken to a human being since I called nearly 30 minutes ago. They will get called back when I get home from work, and I doubt I'll be any happier about the situation then. |
